I was always attracted by swiss watches and always wanted to have one. But I never thought which brand will it be, as I am not a person that has huge experience or knowledge in this sphere.
Why Tissot? Well - probably because of those TV ads at every racing sport event (and not only), Tissot being the sponsor. I just remembered the brand. After a while I've found out (can't exactly remember from where) that Tissot makes watches since 1853 which makes the Tissot brand being one of the oldest with great experience background and tradition. And 2 years ago I saw some commercials with T-Touch, and I really found it an watch that has some extra useful options than a standard watch (Meteo, Altimeter, Compass, Thermo, etc.). And it's not expensive or should I better say that it's rather affordable for everybody that really wants it.
I've chosen the Steel model (to be more exact - t33.1.588.51), thought first I wanted to buy the Titanium one, but the thing I didn't like on the Titanium model was the way there were put all the numbers on the analogue watch. Why? It decreases the contrast and the hour is not so readable, as there are several white elements on a dark background besides the arrows. The watch I have has a good contrast and not more elements than necessary. Because of this I love it, though it's a little heavy (as it's steel, not titanium).
The packaging box is great, it includes several manuals and informational brochures. There is even the tissot story, accompanied by pictures, done in a fairy tales style.
I was frustrated when I've noticed that when I put the watch at 12.00 the arrows are not perfectly aligned with the watch's 12 hours indicator. But there is the synchronise function that let's the user correct and move each arrow individually in order to make it point perfectly to the hour/minute it displays.
I'm satisfied so far (though I have it for 24 hours only), so most probably I'll get back with more details.
Here is a video review of this watch. You'll understand what I was talking about saying about those extra functions.
